Barrier V1 Virucidal Disinfectant

100% Natural – Non-toxic Formulation

Barrier Animal Healthcare, the research division of Barrier Biotech Limited, have designed the very first MAFF approved virucidal disinfectant which contains only concentrated plant derivatives which are entirely non-toxic - even in concentrated form.

It has been designed especially for use in intensive rearing units and it is the only one of its kind to be suitable for use in organic farming systems. All of our products fall into the exempt category of products which use only plant oils as active ingredients, as listed in Annexe II B (Pesticides) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 (as amended) and can therefore be used in organic systems.

The product has been approved for use against diseases of poultry and for general purpose use under orders made under the Animal Health Act.

It will help keep all parasites including Red Mite and Poultry House Beetle, away.

Ideal for use in intensive rearing units, breeding units, egg layers, hatcheries, footbaths and in food preparation areas.

Barrier V1 is effective against diseases of poultry including Newcastle’s Disease at a dilution rate of one part to 50 parts water.

Barrier V1 is the only answer to operator, animal and environmental safety and is suitable for organic growers.

Barrier V1 is ideal for use in footbaths because organic matter does not affect the efficiency of the product.  It has a pleasant smell and meets grower’s needs for a fast turnaround where immediate access and re-stocking is necessary.

 Application:

For Diseases of Poultry (including Newcastles Disease):  Dilute at a rate of 1:50 parts water.

For General Orders:  Dilute at 1:40 parts water.

Terminal Disinfection: Dilute at 1:50 parts water and apply to all internal structures – walls, ceilings, floors, posts and equipment.

Barrier V1 can be applied manually through a knapsack sprayer or through a pressure washer, orchard sprayer or similar.

There is no re-entry time restriction for either personnel or chicks.

Safety Data:

Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-corrosive.

When designing Barrier V1, great consideration was given to Operator Safety, the Conservation of Wildlife and the safety of the Environment.  As in all good hygiene programmes, protective clothing should be worn.

Barrier V1  has been independently tested at a dilution rate of 1 to 40 parts water against a wide range of other organisms and has an effective kill against the following:-
